Why packing fails expensive POs
For sequin eveningwear, receiving teams reject cartons for barcode mismatches, crushed sequin fields, and missing size assortments—even when the garment itself is fine. Platform-ready packing is part of quality, not an afterthought.
Pre-ship checklist
- Polybags — Clear bags sized to avoid sequin crush; include size sticker facing out.
- Hangtags / care labels — Fiber content and care symbols matching market rules.
- Barcodes — SKU-level codes that scan; verify against the buyer’s ASN template.
- Assortment — Ratio packs documented on packing list and carton marks.
- Carton strength — Double-wall for dense sequin goods; no over-compression.
- Needle detection — Pass records available when required by the buyer.
- Photo pack — Sample carton open/close photos archived with the PO.
FBA and 3PL notes
If shipping to Amazon FBA or a third-party warehouse, confirm label placement, carton weight limits, and whether sequin fringe styles need tissue or boards. Sparyn can adapt packing to Fashion Nova, SHEIN, Temu, Windsor Store, and private-label intake rules when specs are shared at sampling.
Close the loop
Approve packing on the SMS unit—not only the garment. A sealed sample bag with the correct sticker format prevents expensive rework at the destination dock.
